Day 1 : M’hamid – Sidi Najji.

We start the first day of the desert adventure heading towards Sidi Najji. We will walk for about 5 hours. Camel men and a cook will accompany you from the village and stay with you for the rest of the trip. We will first visit an Ancient Kasbah or “ancient M’hamid”. We then continue to the end of the grove of palm trees where we stop for lunch. You can take a nap after lunch and then we continue walking, passing by stunning desert landscape, till we arrive in Sidi Najji where we make the camp for the night.

day 2 : Sidi Naji – Erg Zahar

After Breakfast, we start trekking towards one of the highest dunes, passing by the ruins of Ksar bousnina, an ancient kasbah. As usual, we take a break for lunch under the shady trees of Tamarisk. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Erg Zahar Dunes to marvel at the golden and well-shaped dunes from top of which you can watch the sunset. We spend the night near these dunes.

Day 3 : Erg Zahar- Erg Sedra

We start walking, following the paces of dromedaries caravan, heading to Erg Sadra. After a few hours of walking, we cross the Valley of Draa to have lunch in Erg Smar. You then take a nap under the shade of a Tamarisk tree. We continue trekking to arrive in Erg Sedra where we make our camp for the night.

Day 4: Erg Sedra – Chantouf

After breakfast, we get ready for a new day full of stunning experiences. We head towards Chantouf, a sea of sand. On our way to this magical place, we will stop for lunch. Afterwards we resume walking till we arrive at Chantouf where we make our camp for the night.

Day 5 : Chantouf – Erg Chigaga

Our destination on this day will be one of the most highest and largest dunes in Morocco, Erg Chigaga which stretches over 50 km. It is the most beautiful range of dunes. After 3 hours of walking, passing by different landscapes of the desert, we stop for lunch. Afterwards, we continue walking to Erg Chegaga to enjoy an unforgettable sunset there. We make our camp and spend the night there.

Day 6: Erg Chigaga – Om la’aleg

Having spent a gorgeous night among the massive dunes of Erg Chigaga, we get ready to explore another different aspect of the Sahara desert, Hamada or stony desert. We head towards Om la’aleg, which an old oasis in the middle of the desert. Before arriving there we stop to have lunch under a big desert tree. Afterwards we leave for the oasis where we stay overnight.

Day 7 : Om la’aleg – Bougarn

We take the path to Bougarn after having breakfast in the sacred oasis. We travel among acacia trees for 2:30 hours and then we break for lunch. Afterwards, we resume walking to the dunes of Bougarn where we make our camp and stay for the night.

Day 8 : Bougarn – Krai’at Jmel

After breakfast, we trek as usual for 3 hours heading to Krai’at Jmel, crossing a large stony desert and marvelling at the wonders of the sahara desert. We stop for having lunch then we continue our way. When we arrive in Krai’at Jmel, we make our camp and stay overnight.

day 9 : Krai’at Jmel – Nbak l’awd

In the morning we leave Krai’at Jmel heading to Nbak L’awd, on the other side of Daraa valley. We walk for a few hours, enjoying the beautiful sceneries and desert landscapes before stopping for lunch. Afterwards, we walk until we arrive in Nbak l’awd where we make our camp for the night.

Day 10: Nbak l’awd – Rassnkhal

On this day our destination is Rass nkhal, the end of the grove of palm trees. After breakfast we leave Nbak l’awd for a semipermanent camp in Rassnkhal. We arrive there at lunch time. Then it is time for a well deserved warn shower and a comfortable bed. We relax the rest of the day there and stay overnight in the camp.
